Summer Project Day 2

This evening I had Matthew home to help, so while I carried on with the decking, he started painting our gate. I managed to oil the side and front of the decking & do a little bit of weeding.

No plans for tomorrow night as we're out. But here's a little bit of what's to come. (Excuse the dodgy sketching!)

I am aiming to bring a bit of colour into the garden & found some great paints by Cuprinol that I'm hoping will do the trick. Fairly sure I'll be fed up of brown by the time the fence is done...

Summer Project Day 1

Don't know how much you can see from this photo - but I have oiled all of the bannister of the decking this evening. A small thing, but progress none-the-less.

A Summer Project

The lovely weather we've had recently has inspired me to get back in the garden (that and we're hoping to have a BBQ on the weekend)! The project I now have on is something we've been talking about doing for a long time, but is likely to be a mamoth task. Never the less - we have started!

The Project

We have a long garden and a fence that runs right the way along one side of it, plus decking, a shed and a mini 'bar' - all of this needs painting, preserving and oiling! And we've finally begun. :)

This is our decking that needs protecting:

This is my mini bar that needs painting:

This is a section of the fence that needs painting - it goes right the way to the top of the garden & across the back:

So there you have it - our Summer project, to be fitted in amongst hen/stag weekends, weddings and other events.
